We cannot accept this invoice because we cannot verify the supplier.
This is a notice I received. I submitted invoices from my supplier with all the checklist items that were originally requested. I’m having a difficult time trying to understand why the supplier information is unable to be verified. I would really like to understand specifically what is needed to solve this. It seems that Amazon is ambiguous with these rejections and leaves it up to guesswork. That's what it feels like at least. More clarity would be really helpful.

You need a wholesale invoice from an AUTHORIZED distributor. There are plenty of unauthorized distributors out there; many targeting Amazon/eBay/etc. sellers. You need one that is authorized BY THE BRAND you are selling.
Depending on the brand, it is also possible (even likely) that you need authorization from the brand to sell their products on Amazon.
