Creating new ASINs for Hot Wheels mainline

I have been trying to create new ASINs for Hot Wheels mainline cars. Although I am allowed to create new ASINs for Hot Wheels, every single time I try to create a new ASIN, I get the same 8541 error, stating a conflict with other Hot Wheels models that are not the one I am trying to list.

All Hot Wheels mainline have the same UPC: 074299057854.

Anyone has any idea how to solve this? I tried Amazon Seller support and they have been nothing more than useless.

Do you control the existing listing and operate FBM? If so you stand a chance of adding variations to the existing listing using your own SKU's to accommodate the different models. If FBA it may well be pot luck which model the customer receives.

I operate in a completely different sector but face a similar issue, whereby the producers use the same UPC year in year out. For me it affects the vintage of the product which is important to buyers and means I can't list recent vintages if someone has previously listed the UPC against a different vintage and no longer active on Amazon to update it. A huge frustration of the way the Amazon catalogue is set up.
