Problem with variations
Is there any way to change which variation shows up in organic listings when people search for my product by name?
My best selling product is called 'Shot in the Dark'; but for some reason, when people search 'Shot in the Dark' the only product shown in the organic rankings is 'Shot in the Dark Volume 2' (the slow-selling follow up variation) rather than the original game (which sells ten times as many units as Volume 2).
I worry that people will search for my product, only see Volume 2 and assume the main game is out of stock. Without realising they can click onto Volume 2 and then chose the other variation.
Any ideas how I can change this?
Thanks

Hello @Seller_uGEgljQhwtuzR
I wanted to follow up on your post. When determining which child ASIN appears in search results, Amazon considers multiple factors. These include the item's sales frequency, title, price, and description details.
It's important to note that the ASIN representing the product family may change over time. Additionally, different search queries could yield varying results in terms of the displayed ASIN. This dynamic nature is something to be aware of.
Any assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out to our support channel.
