Refresher: Multi-Channel Distribution (MCD) using Amazon Warehousing and Distribution (AWD)

Last week it was announced that AWD’s multi-channel distribution capability now supports custom shipment labels, so we figured this was as good of a time as any to share a refresher on how you can utilize Multi-Channel Distribution (MCD) for your inventory needs.

Not to be confused with Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF), Multi-Channel Distribution enables you to replenish inventory in bulk from Amazon Warehousing and Distribution (AWD) to your own warehouse or your third-party warehouses, wholesalers, distributors, and other locations outside of Amazon. MCD currently supports replenishment to third-party channels within the US, and replenishments average of 14 days from an AWD distribution center to their destination. Processing fees are the same as the AWD Processing fee of $2.50/box if your seller account is on the base rate, or $2.13/box if your seller account is on the integrated rate, and the transportation fee is$1.65/cu ft.

If you'd like to get started with MCD, you can set up your channels and destinations as outlined in the help page, then create your off-Amazon shipment within your AWD portal as needed!

Feel free to share any feedback on your experience with MCD or questions you may have below, and we'll be sure to pass them along to the AWD team!
