VTR and Canada Post Strike

Hi Everyone - with the looming Canada Post strike, I may need to find another service for my FBM orders within Canada. What other carriers do you guys use that is validated by Amazon and won't affect your VTR?

I've only been using Canada Post. I was looking at discussions and Purolator was mentioned but there was an issue - has this issue been resolved? I know they say that the drop-down list is the approved carriers, but not all of them gets tracking validated. Is there an actual list of carriers that ship within Canada that Amazon validates tracking for?

Unfortunately this is one of those very vague issues with Amazon. Their article about this quotes:

The list of integrated carriers is updated on the Ship Confirmation page. To ensure that sellers maintain a good VTR, they are encouraged to use carriers from the Ship Confirmation page drop-down list to ship their packages, as these carriers provide a real-time tracking status to Amazon.

But this is not necessarily true. For example Uni Uni is in the list, but apparently is NOT integrated. If @Seller_7LrAV0m5llaI7 sees your post, he has in the past found the better list in Amazon's info that contradicts their own information, but I can only find the one here

https://sellercentral.amazon.com/help/hub/reference/G201817070#mnd_2jc_jcb-5

It's very confusing, I'm really hoping they don't go on strike. My back up is usually Purolator, but their charges are a fair bit higher for my small packages, especially out of province. For some weird reason, my account was never affected by the Purolator glitch, but again @Seller_7LrAV0m5llaI7will likely know if it is still on going.

Hi @Seller_bwUIkQtAJXVnz,

I understand your concern about the potential Canada Post strike and the need to find an alternative shipping carrier for your FBM orders within Canada. This is a challenging situation, and I appreciate you reaching out to the community for guidance.

Based on the previous comments from other selling partners and moderators, it seems that there is some confusion and conflicting information regarding which carriers are fully integrated with Amazon and will not affect your Validated Tracking Rate (VTR).

Here are a few key points to consider:

Amazon's official stance is that any carrier listed in the Ship Confirmation page drop-down menu is considered integrated. However, some sellers have reported issues with certain carriers not updating tracking information correctly, leading to potential VTR impacts.

Purolator seems to be a popular alternative for many sellers, but there have been reports of tracking delays and issues with the integration. Some sellers have had success using Purolator without VTR impacts, while others have experienced problems.

It's essential to monitor your VTR closely if you switch to a new carrier, as a low VTR can lead to account suspensions or other penalties from Amazon.

To help you make an informed decision, here are a couple of relevant help pages from Amazon:

Carrier Integration for Tracking: This page provides an overview of integrated carriers and tracking requirements.

Validated Tracking Rate: This page explains the Validated Tracking Rate metric and its importance.

Additionally, I would recommend reaching out to Amazon Seller Support to inquire about the current status of Purolator integration and any potential issues or workarounds. It's always better to get direct confirmation from Amazon to avoid potential complications.

I hope this information is helpful, and I wish you the best of luck in navigating this situation. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to the community or ping me to further escalate the situation.
