A TO Z claims over hazmat return labels

I have now gotten two a to z claims over hazmat return labels this week alone. I have free returns set for customers, but I guess for hazmat items customers have to pay, how do you all deal with this and avoid these claims? Wild people can do this over something so small.

Hello @Seller_8opwwN6P8sp6Z

Free returns are not free to the seller. They are free to the buyer. Hazmat products need to be shipped by ground and not air. Because of this, many sellers set up returnless refunds for those products.

I am almost certain in Amazon's TOS it states that Dangerous Goods are not eligible for returns. My assumption is that you can't rely on the customer to place the proper declaration placard on the return item and probably was implemented due to a specific occurrence in the past that warranted such a response. You are left to resolve the issue with the customer until you reach a mutual resolution.

When a return is marked "Hazmat" Amazon will not send the customer a return label. You will need to create one and send it to the customer through Amazon messaging. You have 48 hours from the time of the request to send the customer a return label. If you fail to do so in 48 hours and the customer opens an A-Z claim they will win.

This is a bigger problem for us as time goes on. Things that have no business being labeled hazmat are being labeled hazmat. I guess Amazon has an AS (Artificial Stupidity) bot that is completely clueless. The bot just runs wild leaving a trail of destruction where ever it goes.. Like all good Amazon bots do.

Once Amazon's artificial stupidity bots label something as hazmat I just make a choice. Is it worth selling if I cannot afford to lose it? If I cannot grant a refund without return? So now, most of the "hazmat" goods (lol) that I sell, I only sell if the margins are very high and the returns are relatively low.

post. The customer should have to contact you before opening a claim. I also ship hazmat. I assume you took the course and are also hazmat certified. I write the customer and explain that legally, hazmat return labels cannot be issued. Hazmat must be shipped from a post office counter. Here is my address. Make sure it is new, double sealed and packaged safely as it was shipped.

Less that 1 out of 10 actually end up returning it and any a to z claims for them not wanting to return it have been won.
