Strikethrough Price Timeframe

Today I brought my selling price (usually 19.99) to match the list price (24.99). I left it at the list price for a few hours and made a couple of sales at 24.99.

Then, I set the price back to 19.99. The hope was to get the listing to show a price of 19.99 and a strikethrough price of 24.99 (the rule for a strikethrough to show should be that one or more sales occur at or above the list price in the past 90 days)

However, it's only showing 19.99 and no strikethrough.

In your experience, does Amazon take a little bit to process the strikethrough or am I missing something?

Thanks!

Advertising something as being on sale is controlled by the FTC -- Amazon follows the law there.

I don't remember the particulars but something must be sold at regular price for a whole lot longer length of time than offered as being on sale. So that strike through depends on the item having been offered for X amount of time at regular price before being put on sale.

Hello @Seller_KEE2ARQLz9RyA,

Michelle at Amazon here! I understand that you want to know when your items list price will display the higher price of 24.99 on your listing. As @Seller_Hi7wbO2Kbo6bl stated, we have to follow the applicable laws when it comes to the list price being displayed. Per our help pages and here, if we cannot verify your list price, we will not use the price you entered.

I hope this information is helpful.

Regards,

Michelle
