Images Not Appearing

Hello

Anyone else noticed images not appearing - my uploaded images have not been showing for the past 2/3 days for existing ASIN’s.

Have the technical picture requirements changed or are there more glitches/behind the scenes tinkering.

Keen to know if anyone else having same issues.

Cheers

Hi Tara,

I am having issues with only 7 out of my 9 pictures showing.

Not sure if it is the same but I have checked all the technical specs and the pictures all meet them.

I had to re-upload most of the images for products I added last night.

Now I’m having a problem trying to open my seller account pages (again).

The main bottleneck seems to be:
images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com

Pages are tending to hang when trying to fetch data from that link. This is a long-standing Amazon problem in my experience.

I’ve had this for a long time, just keep calm and upload images on ‘edit’ on product inventory.

I often find that images I have uploaded for a product are replaced by others of much lower quality and which display another sellers watermark. How can this happen and why does Amazon allow it. Surely even the bots would recognise the new image is of poor quality?

One of the problems is that Amazon’s bots will accept a low-res jpeg that’s been enlarged to 1000+pixels on the longer side (therefore heavily interpolated/pixellated) over a decent but smaller image.

It needs human eyes to judge these things but Amazon prefers robots.

Hmm, I wonder if it’s a coincidence that Amazon has just made some major changes to its individual listing pages?

Using the ‘Sell on Amazon’ link opens a much more condensed version than we’ve been used to…
