FBA units constantly placed on DEFECTIVE status

Hello, I am stuck here, so requesting help from the community and mods.

Months ago, I had an authenticity complaint from a customer who failed to read the lot number on my product. Authenticity complaint was solved in my favor and and I received an email that I was allowed to sell the product again. However, my units were placed on defective status after that email. I removed the units and everything was OK, codes readable, no defect at all.

After that, I send a new shipment to FBA. ALL units get placed on defective status again upon checkin. The units are scanned an placed in SELLABLE condition and the next day I receive the removal request.

I contacted seller support, and they say the only thing I can do is remove them, they can't investigate or provide more information. No shipment defects at all. No changes to product or listing. Only thing that changed in all this timeline is the auth complaint solved in my favor. Nothing else.

I am completely lost here, nothing changed in my product and the product was selling perfectly before the complaint. After the complaint, the units are always placed on defective. Any ideas here??

Also tagging @Roberto_Amazonbecause you were able to help solve a very similar case in the past, and was due to an appeal not received promptly. I suspect something like this case could be what is triggering my defective status. See below:

More info I was able to pull from the inventory ledger. Units are successfully received at the Inbound FC with no problem, such as CLT2. No shipment defects at all.

Then the inventory is divided, accepted as SELLABLE at the destination FC such as SCK4 and SDF1 and then the adjustment to DEFECTIVE happens.

Is it possible that you sell a well known brand without "Letter of Authorization"? Such items do often go to defective and will be destroyed by Amazon.

Likely customers for that item are high returns and these customers want the return to be free so they claim defects as this is standard practice Amazon trained customers to do now your item likely flagged as defective due to the defective returns by lying customers.

I have had this with certain items, no matter how many skus I resend they always mark same asin as defective and unsellable. They will not give any explanation. Only thing they say is that it is tied to a removal order and cannot be bin-checked..... I just learnt that certain items I wont sell and I keep the rest in my warehouse and fulfill with MFN. No other way around

Same issue in which I'm stuck since November last year. An endless loop of "Amazon can't investigate and I must retrive the units back to see if there are defective" + "Amazon found that the ASIN is in good status to send again" and every time the units arrive directly to Defective Status. And all this started when someone placed an Authenticity complaint which I also won because it is my very own ASIN with my own trademark and manufactured by me in my shop. Even on latest case I was told to send again to believe them everything was already fixed. Case: 14761808521.

Hi vcimarket,

It is possible that the manufacturer has the ASINS enrolled in the Transparency program. There are two different types of Transparency - one requires a 2D QR code on the package, and the other requires serial # and authorized dealer authentication. Without knowing what the product or brand is, I couldn't tell you for sure, but I have been doing this for over 19 years and there only three scenarios I have experienced where Sellable units are Flipped to Defective

- Physical product does not match Product Detail Page

- FBA mislabeling - ie. FNSKU for a Blue is placed on a Black product

- Transparency Program complications

If you can rule out the first two possibilities above, then it is likely Transparency Program complications.

UPDATE: Today most of my units became Available again! I didn't receive any communication or update to my case so not sure which team found a solution. Thank you for reading and hoping those in the same boat get a resolution as well.

ETA: Just received confirmation and the case was closed.
