A-to-Z when i'm on vacation mode
Good day all,
So, I put myself on vacation mode for a week, ONE WEEK PRIOR TO GOING CAMPING FOR A WEEK. Note, this camping trip completely takes me off the grid as there's no technology available.
I allowed myself one week buffer so if there were any messages from customers I would be able to address and handle their inquiry.
Now, during my time away, I got a message from a buyer (inquiring into not having received the product), and subsequently had an a-to-z claim decided against me.
My question; is there anything I can do now? What were my options? How could I prevent this from happening again, as I'm an avid extreme-camper, and don't want to encounter this again.
Thank you,
RemayaCanada

Use Starlink or designate an employee to handle your account when you are away

Vacation mode does not prevent customer from sending messages... you have to have someone monitor the account even if you are on vacation mode...

Satellite internet service designed by Elon Musk, that is mobile, works anywhere on earth, and can be taken anywhere.

Hey @Seller_zwmHWFRZ0r9fF,
Your fellow collaborators Jpart2 and Equipo gave you great insight on how to handle future A-Z claims when on vacation.
Vacation mode will only remove all of your listings from Amazon product detail pages and search results within one hour. If you have any Fulfilment by Amazon listings, they will remain active on Amazon. You can change your Listings Status for all of your countries, or just for specific countries.
Do let me know if you need further assistance on the future with these types of situation.

Oh you thought when you were on vacation you were actually on vacation. You're bad.
Even when you're on vacation you have 24hrs to respond to customers.
When I was "on vacation" on an island or at the cottage where there was no internet. ( About 15 yrs ago. ) I would go to the local library or internet cafe and check my emails every so often to make sure I wasn't getting an Amazon notification.
Which was frowned on at that time because people were losing their accounts for hotel IP address'.
There is no such thing as a vacation or going off the grid with Amazon.
