Case ID: 11044825532 – Account and Listing Deactivation Issue
We would like to provide you with a detailed explanation regarding the current situation with our account:
Our company is located in Turkey, and we operate a production facility employing approximately 80 people. We have been exporting our products to many European countries for years. Recently, we decided to expand further by finding new customers and selling our products under our own brand, not only in local stores but also on online platforms, including Amazon.
To achieve this, we established a company in the United Kingdom, fully complying with all legal requirements. We hired a UK-based citizen as a company director, registered our brand, and set up our Amazon UK account. Following this, we shipped our products to Amazon fulfillment centers, paying VAT in advance to HMRC at the time of import through proper customs procedures.
After our products were stocked, instead of focusing on critical areas such as sales, customer experience, product development, and competitive pricing, our Amazon account was unfortunately deactivated.
Initially, Amazon requested address verification, which we completed promptly. However, despite fulfilling the requirements, our account was deactivated again within a week. This time, additional documents were requested, including:
Director's passport,
Proof of address (bank statement and utility bill),
Company registration documents,
Commercial invoice issued in the company’s name,
HMRC VAT and customs payment certificates.
We submitted all these documents accurately and completely. However, we have still not received a clear response, and our listings remain inactive. As a result, we are losing valuable sales rankings and falling behind in an increasingly competitive marketplace.
We would like to emphasize that we have legitimate operations both in Turkey and in the United Kingdom.
All of our official documents and company information can easily be verified through HMRC and Companies House using our company name and registration number.
Instead of being provided with a reasonable deadline to resolve any concerns, our listings were immediately deactivated, leading to unfair competitive disadvantages and causing damage to our market presence.
If documents such as a UK government-issued passport, HMRC VAT certificates, official utility bills, and UK Companies House registration certificates are not sufficient for verification, we kindly request Amazon to revise and clearly update its policies, explicitly stating that government-issued documentation is not recognized.
Every day, instead of focusing on improving our products, advertising, and enhancing customer satisfaction, we are struggling with endless document requests and uncertainties about when our listings will be reactivated. This severely hampers our ability to grow our brand and business.
As a more efficient solution, we respectfully suggest that Amazon assigns representatives to visit our facilities in Turkey to meet our employees directly. Similarly, representatives could visit our director’s registered address in the UK to verify everything firsthand.
We believe this would provide much more accurate and reliable results than ongoing document requests that do not lead to resolution.
We respectfully request that our account and listings be reviewed again considering the above explanation, and that a swift and fair solution be provided so that we can focus on building our business within Amazon’s ecosystem, just as we initially intended.
In the long term, we are strongly committed to contributing to Amazon’s growth by providing high-quality products, maintaining excellent customer service, and expanding our brand presence across multiple marketplaces. We believe that supporting genuine and compliant sellers like us will also strengthen Amazon’s reliability and leadership in global commerce.
We remain available for any further verification processes or clarifications you may require.
Thank you very much for your understanding and support.
Sincerely,
@Julia_Amazon @Ezra_Amazon @Sakura_Amazon_ @Sarah_Amzn @Simon_Amazon @Spencer_Amazon @Winston_Amazon @Maja_Amazon @Ash_AMZ @Abella_AMZ @Angie_Amazon @JiAlex_Amazon
