Abusive Customer- Can I block?

@Sandy_Amazon

Hello- I have a buyer who continually orders from me, has problems with my product after receiving it, or perhaps shipment was delayed (because of the carrier) and then verbally abuses me and my staff via messages. He even went so far as to type up a nasty letter cursing me and included it in a return he sent back. He does this on other selling platforms as well. What can I do about this unacceptable behavior? Block his orders?

"What can I do about this unacceptable behavior? Block his orders? "

You can't block anyone here. I have not had to report a buyer for anything they sent to me in the mail but I have used the 'report' system for documented items in the Amazon system.

IF you can, scan the letter they sent (hopefully they signed it) and attach it to a complaint in the Amazon system.

The BEST solution for those jerks is to only sell that item on eBay where we CAN block buyers.

I am currently down to 51 blocks! The best thing is that when they abandon their account (or get banned by eBay) their names are removed from the list. Nearly all of my blocks are for time wasters. All questions and no orders.

SHORT ANSWER, NOPE. Here are the benefits we are enjoying on ALL websites except Amazon, for being able to block customers. See link to my Amazon forum post about blocking customers below. I get about $2000 in swapped out returns a year, and all you can do is report them to Amazon for theft, and ic3.gov for theft. I recommend both. Amazon would see an immediate RAPID decline in customer fraud on here, and immediate 2-3% increase in overall profits. And sellers would take a much needed sigh of relief, if they added this one simple feature that literally ALL other websites except Amazon allow: BLOCK fraudulent/high return rate careless customers:

https://sellercentral.amazon.com/seller-forums/discussions/t/ef8a4afe-d801-4cf8-be34-7a507205cab3?

Imagine running a small mom and pop shop that sells 3000 items a year. You have one bozo that comes in and returns EVERYTHING THEY BUY. Say 20 items a year worth $500. More than your entire other 3000 customers combined. You WOULD BAN that customer from your store, right? Otherwise they are bankrupting you. Well, on here, they don't allow it. That customer with 100% return rate, apparently THEY are always right. Even when they lie cheat and steal. I have one customer that literally has ordered the same product, 12 times @$50 ea, kept it a month, returned it, still sealed, then orders it again. 12 times. $600 in returns. All but the first 2, still sealed, MINT RETURNED TO SELLABLE INVENTORY. Lost $100 in return fees. She has returned it more times than ALL 200 customers for this product combined. Product with a near PERFECT, 1 in 100 return rate, now has a "red" status in Voice of Customer BECAUSE OF HER 12 CONSECUTIVE RETURNS. Doesnt say anything is wrong with product (returned new), just says "no longer needed". ALL 12 times. IF YOU ARE FAMILIAR WITH VOICE OF THE CUSTOMER, YOU KNOW IT DOESN'T MATTER WHY THEY RETURNED IT. ALL THAT MATTERS IS THAT THEY RETURNED IT. SHE DID IT 12 CONSECUTIVE TIMES. Absolutely DESTROYING the sales record for a product with $10,000 in sales. SO INSTEAD OF 2 RETURNS OUT OF 200, I HAVE 14. Case in point. At LEAST she is not STEALING product as others do. I reported her ALL 12 times. Amazon has done ZERO ZILCH NADA. FILED A REQUEST WITH SELLER SUPPORT ASKING TO STOP THIS NONSENSE. KNOW WHAT THEY SAID? FILE A CUSTOMER ABUSE CLAIM. ALREADY DID IT 12 TIMES FOR 12 ORDERS. REPORTED HER AS A "MALICIOUS BUYER". SHE JUST PLACED HER 13TH $50 ORDER LAST WEEK. WAITING FOR THE NEXT RETURN, AND THE NEXT RE0RDER. AMAZON LOST ALL their commission, and we have lost ALL $600 of our revenue on those 12 returns, AND are in the hole $100 in additional return fees. The ONLY solution, is BLOCKING BAD ACTORS.
