Unable to Update Registered Business Address for Canada
Hello,
We are trying to update the Registered Business Address / Legal Entity for【CANADA】side of the seller account, however the system does not allow me to change the Registered Business Address from United States to Canada.
According to Amazon’s Seller Policy Resources, HERE it should be possible to have different legal entities for different marketplaces:
- “Can I enter separate account information data for each store (for example, to account for their different legal entities or bank accounts)?”
- Amazon’s Answer: Yes, you can customize your account information for each store. The information entered during registration will become the default data for each store until you update each store with the applicable information.
【ISSUE】
- When navigating to Account Info > Business Information > Legal Entity > Add New Address in the Canada marketplace, the country selector in the Business Address field is locked to the United States and cannot be changed.
- This prevents us from setting up a separate legal entity for Canada, which is required for tax and operational purposes.
Separately, we need confirmation that updating the business address for Canada will NOT affect our registered addresses for the US or Mexico.
【OPERATIONS】
- US and Canada will operate independently with separate inventory in their respective marketplaces and inventory in the FBA warehouses.
- NARF (North America Remote Fulfillment) will be turned off, meaning there will be no cross-border fulfillment between US and Canada.
- This setup ensures compliance with business structure and tax requirements, making it critical that we can update the Canada registered business address separately.
【STEPS TAKEN SO FAR】
- Logged into Seller Central (Canada marketplace selected).
- Went to Account Info > Business Information > Legal Entity > Add New Address, but the country selector is locked to the United States.
- Reviewed Amazon’s policy documentation, which confirms this should be possible.
- Recently opened a support case (Case ID: 17392812081), but I have not received a response yet.
【REQUEST FOR HELP】
- Has anyone successfully updated their Registered Business Address for Amazon Canada separately from the US? ー If Yes, what steps did you take?
- @Daryl_Amazon, can this be escalated? The system appears to be blocking a function that should be available.
- If there is a manual workaround, can Amazon support provide direct guidance on how to update this without affecting our US/MX accounts?
I appreciate any insights from other sellers or Amazon reps who can help resolve this issue.
Attaching screenshots for reference.
Thank you

I am reaching out to you in the hope this message reached the right person / team member for urgent escalation.
Case ID: 17392812081
I feel the concerned team handling the case is dragging their feet in communicating the resolution or steps to resolve the issue.
I have provided extensive information, explanation and back up visual resources to assist the team in resolving this matter quickly so we can move onto the next steps.
I would appreciate your intervention to escalate this internally and resolve in the shortest timeline.
This is really starting to put a strain on our operations and launch for Canada.
Thank you in advance
