Amazon trademark and keyword search issues

I seem to constantly go from one problem to the next with Amazon.

Amazon FC created a mess with my product and I had to completely remove my inventory and start over.

Now I have the new ASIN assigned and now I can't find my products in search.

My company name is trademarked but I am unable to locate my product under the trademarked name "linerz". Amazon is saying because the official trademark includes my website address that in order to be found in search the complete trademark needs to be utilized as the search term.

Ok how ridiculous is this?

Amazon wants my customers to search for my product utilizing: "Linerz www linerzinserts com" - or the alternative is that I have to list my product under Beauty Supplies lol This is a hat insert not freaking panty liners! And linerz isn't even a real word. SO Amazon is basically using my trademarked name as a search term for other products, and seems to think that more important than my trademark.

Here's the CASE 13745703541 if anyone is interested in assisting with this circus act.

"I seem to constantly go from one problem to the next with Amazon."

That happens because you didn't invest 2-3 months to LEARN how selling on Amazon works by watching all videos in Seller University (In seller central under "Learn")

"Amazon FC created a mess with my product"

You will not like me to say that, but if Amazon is selling your products as a bundle it's your fault to have sent them as a bundle and sticked ONE FNSKU on each bundle.

You said: "As it turns out someone at FC created a bundle of my product and that's what they were considering to be a single unit." OR you trusted your manufacturer too much and HE sent the products bundled, OR yourself sent the products bundled. Amazon will NOT bundle any prodocts, especially not free of charge.

I am unable to locate my product under the trademarked name "linerz".

Are you selling in USA and living in USA? If not, there is a clear explanation regular forum READERS know. Just know that NO customer will search a brand name but a product.

On your place I would seriously reconsider to sell stuff on Amazon. You don't seem to be happy at all with this, according to your sayings:

"I am seriously over this daily abuse by Amazon and their gross neglect and criminal theft of their sellers"

"Ok how ridiculous is this?"

"if anyone is interested in assisting with this circus act"

Hello @Seller_j4PTEzNKkgNZN,

My name is Dougal from the Community Manager Team and I would be happy to assist with you keyword search issue. Thank you for providing the case ID, I have read through and see that you are still actively communicating with Brand Registry support.

I am hoping I can shed some additional light on the reasons you are getting the responses that you are. Please reference the Use Search Terms effectively help page, specifically FAQ #6 "6. Why are some of my search terms not searchable?" this provides the why to your specific question of why "linerz," is not a search term that can be utilized for your product category at this time. For an even deeper look into Browse Tree Guides, please review the Keyword attributes explained help page.

Your trademark according to USPTO as you mentioned is "Linerz www linerzinserts com" and not just the word "linerz," so I am not sure if elements of a trademark has the same enforceability as utilizing your registered mark. I recommend speaking with an attorney in that regard.

I would also like to mention the yellow not at the bottom of the Optimize your product discoverability help page. For ease, here is a copy/paste of that note:

  • Note: Amazon reserves the right to not use all supplied keywords for retrieving products. Reasons for not using all keywords may include, but are not limited to, search computational efficiency, potential manipulation of shopping results, irrelevant search terms, and offensive or illegal terms.

I hope this provides a bit of clarity with what you are experiencing with search terms on your ASINs.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Best, Dougal
