Application for Subcategory
We have just begun the process of selling on Amazon and have our account up and running. When we went to add products (added just 1 to get started and understand the process), we sent in all the required documentation which met all their requirements. We have since been declined to sell in the "Dietary Supplement" subcategory because "We took this action to ensure the mutual success of our sellers and buyers.". I have tried to follow up on my case for more information, and they just keep sending back the same response with no further information. All of our competitors are selling the same products, we are an approved distributor of the supplements (provided the necessary documentation), so we are beyond frustrated with the lack of details. We have read all the documentation and links provided, but nothing is indicating why we would not be approved for this category. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

What makes you think as a new seller on Amazon, that you should automatically be entitled to sell in the Dietary Supplement category?
Categories like that and Grocery and Food are highly gated due to the nature of the products and that it's ingested. Not anyone can just come here and be a new seller and sell stuff that people eat and ingest. There is safety rules that have to be followed, and allowing just anyone to sell in these categories would impact their existing sellers and buyers' mutual success.
