has the UK budget affected your sales ?? , low sales since budget 29/10/24
my sales have dropped 50% for the 1st time in 3 years ,
it dropped straight after the budget was announced so that may have contributed towards it , so not sure if anyone else notices it
which means a lot of silly sellers have dropped there price thinking there is something wrong ( they wont last long as everybody will start racing to the bottom
anyway this is unusual for us anyone else has the same problem

If you are selling in a compeitive environment and competitors have dropped prices to win the buy box then this could drop your sales.
I don't think the budget has an immediate effect as most of the announcements are not put in straight away.
Beginning of November is a funny time, bonfire night and now the transition into Christmas.
I think many sellers who are not VAT registered are feeling the pinch with increased fees, It is now a full quarter since Amazon started taking it so perhaps price increases is lumbering some with stock in fulfilment centres so maybe looking to liquidate it.

My sales are up on last year and fairly strong for the whole of November.
Competition is very fierce though and some sellers are up to tricks to get sales and the buy box. For example I have competitors who are repacking products to make them smaller and a lower postage cost (which in my opinion no longer makes them new). Sellers promoting items to be delivered next day when they are not and sellers claiming to post at the weekend when they are not.
There are also many sellers who now seem to be selling below a price where it is profitable. I get they may get cheaper prices or postage rates than me but the amount they are undercutting by would mean that they are either posting for free or the manufacturer giving them the product for free.
I don't doubt the economy makes a difference but it is probably for more expensive and luxury items. My area tends to be sub £15 items which really are not hit.
I not even really sure the budget even hit most people that hard so can't see why it would be an issue. Those who employ are the hardest hit by increased NI contributions and that will lead to increased prices for stock and fulfilment next year, Royal Mail have already warned they will put prices up due to this.
