I receive an order and the order has no name and only address. What is the best action to take? Please help

Well, you can either…

  • Ship it
  • Contact the customer via Amazon Messaging, asking for a name to fulfil the order (though you’d still need to despatch on time if you don’t hear back)
  • Cancel the order (though this will hit your Pre-Fullfillment Cancellation Metric)
  • Mark as shipped, then refund as Address Undeliverable

It does happen sometimes…assuming the order is going to a residential address I would normally just post it…if it is going to a business address I would be a lot more cautious.

It also depends on how valuable the item is…if it was a very expensive order I would again be cautious if it was a cheap order I would probably send it.

Try contacting the customer to see if you can get their name for the order…

It is really up to you based on how much risk you see this order being.
