Link our ASINs to Brand Registry for A+ content + correct incorrect listings - Help!

Hi

We registered our brand on Brand Registry and it was approved about 2 weeks ago. We are now trying to link our ASINs to our brand so that we can take over our own listings (some listings made by other resellers years ago are inaccurate, incomplete).

I have been following multiple time what SS has asked of us to update our listings and have control over it:

Hello from Amazon Brand Registry Support,

Please note that I have checked your previous updates and found out that updates did not take effect.

I have investigated and found out that SKU/ASINs are still not mapped to your Brand registry. Therefore, I request you to try updating the all the ASINs for Brand “” by using a feed template. Please find the steps as stated below:

Update the products using the category specific template: You can follow the link below for the template and choose according to your product’s category: https://sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/gp/help/1641?referral=A3RLDD7SWYTG9C_A2Z3S3CGSGQNFH

In the template please provide the following along with the other information:

Seller SKU
Product ID
Product ID Type: UPC/EAN
Brand Name:
Item Type Keyword/Product Type/ Recommended Browse node: we recommend using the BTG to find the correct sub-categorization within the product’s category
in the UpdateDelete column: Update

After you have completed the template, save it as an Excel file to your desktop and follow the indications below to upload it.

  1. Go back to the Add product via Upload page by opening the menu in the Inventory Tab.
  2. Click on the tab: Upload your Inventory File
  3. Select Inventory Files for specific categories
  4. Browse for the template file on your desktop,
  5. Click Upload.

Once the upload has been completed, the listings should be updated with the Brand Registry Values, allowing the system to recognize your contributions and your listings associated with your brand, letting you upload A+ content.

However, nothing has worked up to now. I keep telling SS that I have been following what they have said and that I cannot correct our listing and cannot even create A+ content as it says my listings are not eligible as I am not the brand owner!

I am loss at what to do. When I tell SS that I am doing what they have asked of me, this is their reply:

Hello from Amazon Brand Registry Support,

I’ve reviewed your account and understand you’re concerned about.

While I know you are disappointed with the outcome of this matter, I’ve confirmed that the response you received from our team on [2/17/2022] is correct and we are unable to address this decision any further. I apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Best regards,

LONG POST but I would really appreciate if someone could shed a light on all of this… I am sure they simply need to “flip a switch” but as we all know, it is just so hard to get anything out of them

Thank you for anyone helping us out!

Unless I’m reading this wrong - you are trying to apply your brand to listings that were made previously by other sellers and then change them??

If so you can’t do this - brand registration cannot be applied retrospectively as this would be unfair to other sellers of the product.

Once branded it becomes a new product so a new listing is required.
