Inventory system

My recommendation for all sellers is to begin reviewing and adjusting your preferences before Wednesday. Once you get the hang of it, it's quite straightforward. Having worked on websites for several years, I've found that sometimes it's simple, other times it's complicated. Embrace the new system; complaining won't make it any easier.

grumble grumble

yes you're right

except maybe that embrace bit -- that's a little strong

When the first warning was posted months ago it irked me that they touted 250 per page as a new advantage. It's been that way as long as I can remember.

What can I do to spot items that are listed twice? Is thee an app? I'm having problems with this. In the old inventory system they would tell you an item was already listed.

What do you mean "review and adjust"?

yeah, just stop.

I am an actual software engineer with Apple and hate it when people come here and try to "sell" other folks and try to namedrop using my company's name.

I have looked at your history of messages and it is suspect to say the least. You have been spamming this "inventory software" for at least 6 months.

It's not inventory software; it's private shipping software. It involves proprietary coding. I have never used your company's name. I anticipate a significant increase in sales.

You said in one of your posts (HERE):

"My friend, an Apple developer and private coder involved in the computer industry"

It was Apple that I was referring to you using to "name drop"

You must work for the developer that came up with this "improved" inventory system.

I was looking for a good spot to mention what happened to me without starting a new thread. I sometimes use the 250 item view when doing quick checks. I went to the top of the inventory page to delete the last item that I listed and accidentally "ticked" the very top box and DELETED 250 of the last items I had listed.

I was blown away that it was so easy to do. When I saw the delete 250 in the pop up box it was TOO late to turn back because I type FAST and they just faded away.

DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU!!! CHANGE YOUR PREFERENCES!!!!!

The Minimum Price and Maximum Price HAS TO GO!!!!!!! They are expanding the pages and look awful!!!!! I won't be using them!!!!

But wait, will Amazon be requiring us to use them eventually? ugh!!!

Who knows. When introduced they were not mandatory. Then they became mandatory. I still fill them out, but I am not sure they are actually mandatory any longer. They no longer do what they are supposed to do (it was supposed to prevent listings removed due to pricing alerts) and the reason they were mandatory (lie) was to protect sellers from their own pricing mistakes.

Is everyone getting used to the new system?Remember, if you have a sold item, you need to check the inactive items list, not the inventory, as it won’t appear there. It’s quite straightforward.I believe this change will help increase sales. The developer programmer, coder guy that there are sometimes work with he’s down south. I’m up north in Philly. He deactivated his store from his platform because he got tired of different things and I do know that everybody gets tired of different things.
