Fix stranded inventory

Hello fellow sellers,

We’ve been selling on Amazon for over 10 years now, and I’d like to get your insights on handling stranded inventory.

Our products are in the medical sports category, and we ran into issues because we didn’t have bilingual labels initially. We’ve since fixed this and uploaded the necessary documentation for review, but we’re still seeing quite a few products getting removed.

I’d really appreciate any experiences or tips you could share on how to resolve this or any alternative approaches. Thank you!

Hello @Seller_lTlWnHbNE5Ndk,

Thank you for sharing your situation with us here on the Forums. As an Amazon seller with over 10 years of experience, I can certainly understand the challenges you're facing with stranded inventory, especially in a regulated product category like medical sports.

Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the primary issue stems from the initial product labeling not meeting Amazon's requirements for bilingual labeling. The good news is that you've already taken steps to address this by updating the labels and documentation. However, the fact that you're still seeing products get removed suggests there may be some remaining compliance gaps.

Here are a few insights and suggestions that may help you resolve the stranded inventory issue:

  • Thoroughly review Amazon's product labeling and documentation requirements: Carefully review the latest guidelines for your product category to ensure you're meeting all the necessary standards. This includes not just the bilingual labeling, but also any other required information, certifications, or safety warnings.
  • Work closely with Amazon's selling support team: Reach out to Amazon's seller support and explain the situation in detail. They may be able to provide more specific guidance on what's needed to get your listings back into compliance and your products unstrand.
  • Proactively monitor your listings: Set up processes to regularly review your active listings and quickly address any new issues that arise. This will help you stay on top of changes and prevent future stranding.

I hope these suggestions are helpful! Let me know if you have any other questions. I'm happy to provide further insights to the best of my knowledge.

Best,

-Roxy
