Refund on First Scan - Full Refund Auto Issued

This is only our second ROFS situation. The system has auto-refunded the purhcase price and the outgoing postage.

However this is a customer has cited ‘Unauthorized purchase’ as the reason for the return.

X2 questions - does ROFS always auto-refund the full purchase price and postage?

We will be charged for the auto-return label, which clearly isn’t our responsibility in this instance - so if we want to how can we reclaim this?

All returns will have outgoing postage refunded - unless they paid for expedited and it was a change of mind

Surely an ‘unauthorized purchase’ is amazons problem? Not the sellers? The whole pending order is them checking? If someone’s let someone order on their account, again not the sellers problem? Sure they can return it, but on their dime. Their fault for giving details away, or letting their child play and manage to order something (yes, I’ve had that).

Sorry to jump on the thread, hoping someone can help related to this. Where can you deduct the postage for return reason ‘No longer needed’, I can’t find this on the drop down menu? Thanks

UK trading law dictates that if an item is returned, even if not wanted a full refund has to be given including the postage costs to send the item

the only postage costs you dont have to return under certain circumstances is the return postage

Unfortunately unauthorised purchase is classed as seller pays return postage.

Amazon will deduct the return postage from the refund based on the item category and if the buyer is liable based on this list
