Business Interested in Acquiring one of my brands

A business has enquried about purchasing one of my brands.

I was advised to reach out to Amazon support on advice as i am not looking to transfer my entire amazon seller account, just one of the brands and all over its listings.

Would i be able to get advice on best protocol to ensure there are no issues with the acqusition

Option 1 -

I transfer the brands i wish to keep to a new seller account and transfer this seller account to the buyer

Option 2 -

I transfer the brand and listings to the buyer

Anyone got any idea of experience ? It is currently only an inquiry but i'm interested in finding out ahead of time to be prepared

I have no experience but option 2 looks the best to avoid linked accounts deactivation issues.

To do it properly you'd both need to use solicitors familiar with brand acquisition both in and out of Amazon as the brand has more value if available to all markets. Hopefully the solicitors will have experience of moving brand registry within Amazon too.

this came up on another thread but listings can’t be transferred. They just exist on Amazon.

The interested party could list on them if they had stock of the product now.

I would assume if you came off the listing and the new sellers was the only one listing then Amazon might deem them as having some control of the data on the listing though this is not a guarantee. If you have brand registry you could assume set them up as admin on the brand but you’d need to look into that on brand registry
