Buyer claims empty box. How do I defend on this?

So a buyer just messaged us saying they received an empty box. We put a part label across the front sealing it and tape the sides. Buyer sent a picture and the tape and label are obviously cut. Am I screwed? What's the play here? This is, for us, an expensive item.

UPDATE #2-

Offered a replacement to the buyer. They don't want it. I'm feeling (as I've been all along) they used the part and now are trying to get their money back so the part is free. I told them to file a stolen mail report with their local post office and to give me the report number and I'd file a claim with the USPS. We'll see if I get any report number.

Hello @Seller_ORQtG7VJkFtXK Thanks for the updates on that shipment experience.

The below help page has information on what you can do if a package is damaged, and the $100 insurance included (for both outbound and return shipments) for USPS Ground Advantage.
