Post by date on bottom.of printed label

Hi.
The Post by Date printed on the botton of a shipping label
Is that actual date the only date that an item can be posted or can you have a day or two after that to actually put it in the post box?

You can post on that date or any day before that date.

Posting it on a later date may mean that the label expires and that Royal Mail may not recognise the label and your customer gets a surcharge as postage hasn’t been paid.

its the last date you should be posting it
(especially important as by printing it, you’ve told the buyer that you have already posted it)
