DDP Administration Costs

Would be good to know what charges the different couriers are charging to administer the DDP. DHL are charging us £16 per consignment which to be honest means we have got to give up on FBM now for Europe as once we have paid tax, duties and admin charges then we will be so uncompetitive.

Let me know if anyone has a cheaper alternative

There are many specialist ecommerce couriers who are significantly cheaper than the main couriers. For example P2P charge 80p for DDP over their standard rates.

How have you found them to be service wise. Just had a quick look and the Trustpilot reviews are pretty shocking

I emailed DPDLOCAL last week and asked them to add DDP (deliver duty paid) to our account, the reply I got was “what does DDP stamd for?”

Then once I had told them (what a joke), the next reply was I had to fill out a new form etc blah blah, all done.

However I got a parcel back today that I had already shipped with them (not DDP) and they said they returned it to us as it wasn’t DDP and didn’t have a personal email address for the recipient! and thet we weren’t allowed to use the customers Amazon email. WTF!
