Bought shipping on Amazon via Royal Mail 2nd class letter
As I understand you now have to buy shipping through Amazon for small letters if you want your VTR rate to be counted. Having just done this for a small letter, paying for a Royal Mail 2nd class service at £0.75p, what’s the best way to go about getting it scanned? Would I have to link my Amazon account to Royal Mail if I wanted bought items from Amazon to be collected, as you would with purchased postage direct from RM? Or would I just have to take to the post office or some drop off point?

If you want proof of posting, take it to the post office or delivery office, if you dont then just drop it in a post box

To be honest, I wouldn’t worry too much about getting proof of posting with a letter.
It’s just not worth the extra time taken and once you have more than 2/3, it will become a real pain to do.
If the value of the item is such, that you need the insurance, then you may need to look at using a more expensive service instead.

Yes, take it to a PO if you want a POP receipt in case of INR, if not drop it in a postbox.
