Customer return, product completely destroyed

Hi!
Sorry if this is an repeating topic.
I recently had a return from a customer.
I received the item today, when I open the box, the product is completely destroyed.
The reason of the return was “product too small”.

Is anything I can do about this? or just put my head down walk away?
Thanks

As FBA you’ve given Amazon the power to make decisions on your behalf, so there isn’t much you can do on the buyer front.

You can try opening a case and seeing if Amazon will reimburse. It should’ve been returned in the same condition it was sent, so you could include some photos and point out that the return reason shouldn’t have meant a badly damaged item. I guess you could also suggest that since the buyer didn’t mention damage that it could’ve been damaged by Amazon…

You’ll likely need to provide more context. What is the item? What does completely destroyed really mean? What did the buyer say? Is it FBA?
