Merge Accounts Issue - UK / US
It looks like I have a real bad problem here, and I am really stuck!
My goal is to simply list my product, based in the UK, on the US marketplace.
I understand to do this I firstly needed to create a separate US account with a different email address. This is what I did, and got accepted through all the verification and paid the subscription.
I was then able to start going through the process of merging the US account to my UK account. However, I kept running into this error message:
“This global account has an in-registration account. You can terminate the in-registration account, and then merge your accounts again.”
This got me stuck into a loop where I seemingly had to repeatedly click Cancel the registration in the other markets on my new US account like - Singapore, Australia, Japan. During this process I had to keep logging into the US account, and getting the OTP SMS to my phone, which would keep locking me out. After doing this process for a few days (needing to wait for the OTP to unlock each time). It presented the option to cancel the registration of the UK marketplace (within this US account). Not knowing if this would have a knock on effect on my main UK account, I clicked “Continue Registration” for the UK market. With a single click this appeared to instantly create a new UK marketplace inside my US account!
Now when I go through trying to merge my US account with my UK account the message I get is:
“Account, irrespective of their status, that exist in the same marketplace cannot be merged.”
I suspect this is now because there is a UK marketplace within the US account. I have contacted Seller Support to remove this marketplace because it is not needed, but they just seem to ignore it.
What are my options here? All I want to do is offer my product in the UK to the US market.
