Adding a variation to an existing listing that is currently out of stock
Hello , I sell using the fba program and I only sell one item which is currently out of stock . I had been planning on adding a variation to that item . Can I add a variation even though it’s out of stock ? I don’t really want to add it as a new stand alone product if I can help it because I have a decent amount of reviews for the initial product . Everything is the same for both products except for a color in pens that come with the item . I don’t plan on re ordering the initial product

Michelle at Amazon here. Yes, you can add your new color as a variation even if your inventory is out of stock. In some categories, the variation will not display the out of stock item, however, some categories it will. Your reviews will be shared across both Child ASIN's. You can read more on variations here.
