Seller Fulfilled Prime and Royal Mail Click and Drop

We are about to go on board with SFP and I’ve been told that we have to buy our Royal Mail Shipping through the Amazon “Buy Shipping” page. This seems to involve a lot more data input than our current method of using Click & Drop. I can’t really understand why Amazon won’t let us carry on buying the shipping through Click & Drop since the tracking number, dispatch date etc is automatically uploaded to the Amazon Order Details by Click & Drop.

Has anyone out there continued to use Click & Drop for SFP orders? Does it have a detrimental effect on metrics?

I suggest that you search the forum as there are a lot of posts on this.
Quite simply, you MUST use the Amazon postage for SFP. They do allow a small proportion (5% I believe), to not be processed that way.
It MUST be RM 24/48 (Unless you use DPD).
If you don’t do the above, then it will have a detrimental affect on your account you and you won’t be able to use SFP.

Once you have put the information in for an item, you then never have to do it again, in much the same way C&D works.
So yes, initially it’s a bit of a pain to use, but after a while, you won’t even notice.

The reasons for using Amazon buy shipping for SFP are
1- The buyer will receive a fully integrated tracking for his order. This does not happen if you use Click and drop as the customer has to track the order manually.
2- By using buy shipping service amazon will be involved in issuing the label, which means all the details on the label are matching the details on the order and can not be amended or changed by the seller.

Don’t hold your breath.

We were invited to start using SFP in April. Apparently our metrics were excellent so we didn’t need to go through the usual 100 order trial period.

We got the required services added to our RM Business Account and supplied Amazon with the contract numbers, etc.

Nearly 6 months later, we still can’t use it. Amazon have decided that RM TR24 does not perform well enough in our “delivery cluster”. What a waste of time and effort.
