Minimum FBA stocking quantity requirements vs cost to recall???
Selling groceries demands careful planning especially where best buy dates are concerned. With the inception of yet another new fee "minimum stock quantities" we have a product that we might sell 200-300 a month and now Amazon wants us to send in 900 units and they are currently charging us $1.00 a unit as we are not stocking the required amount. If I send in 900 and the sales slow down at some point I may be stuck with 100s of expired products that I now have to recall. It is no longer the day of 15 cents to destroy or 50 cents to recall it is DIMENSIONAL SHIPPING for everything they send back????? Is there any way to appeal these amounts as most of them make absolutely no sense? Here's another question - if there are multiple sellers on the listing are they requiring every one of us to send in the same amount, boils down to nothing but a money grab!!!!!!! If the plan was to get everyone to merchant fulfill as they keep running out of storage space it is working!!!!!

Hello @Seller_g11pP5SzF5dHo
Christine here from Amazon Forums.
The Restock Inventory tool assists you in determining both the quantity and timing of inventory shipments to Amazon fulfillment centers. It considers factors such as your sales history, demand forecasts, seasonality, and replenishment settings.
While you are not obligated to follow the replenishment and ship-by recommendations, we strongly encourage you to do so. These recommendations are designed to help you strike a balance between the costs of running out of stock (lost sales) and carrying excess inventory (capital costs and storage fees).
Let me know if you have any other question.
Christine.
