Confused about what Amazon is asking
Hello,
We updated our address recently with Amazon. In anticipation for the questions we expected they would ask (i.e. send us bank documents, utility bill, what have you) we made sure we had everything ready for the transition and verification.
They asked for a bank statement with the new address, which we provided.
They then followed up with the message below. I’ve never seen this before - and when I search it on the forums, nothing comes up either. Are we supposed to just create an internal document (i.e. we create this, rather than receive or request it from the government or some other entity)? It’s really not clear. Are they just asking for articles of incorporation?

Yes, Memorandum & Articles of Association. Don’t forget, this will probably be a generic message, used in other countries (under translation) whereby they will not call their documents the same name as ours.

Can you clarify what you mean by memorandum?
Our articles have our old address only. They only show where the business was originally incorporated…

We’re still struggling to pass this verification issue with Amazon.
We submitted our registration documents with the new province we moved to. Amazon responded with the following rejection notice:
Why is this happening?
The business document you provided did not contain the scope of your trading activity.What type of document do I need to provide?
Business verification documents:
– An official business document which confirms the scope of your trading activity
Wondering if you have any idea what “official document” they are referring to exactly. Nothing we have that comes from the government has any mention of our business activity, it only includes registration information, addresses, officers, shares, etc.
Again, we can generate our own document on company letterhead, but I doubt this is what Amazon is looking for. What are they looking for?

It’s worth noting that in the actual address verification document submission page in Amazon, the section for upload only says “Business Registration Extract”.
So that isn’t exactly the same as the wording Amazon uses in their notification emails to us.
