'X amount bought in the last month - Data off by 50%

Hello,

I noticed that on my listing Amazon is showing +300 units bought last month, whereas the actual number is more than twice this. Last few months the representation was more accurate. I reached out to Amazon support and the say that it is a "broad estimation" to help buyers make the right decision. But if by "broad estimation" they mean the data to be incorrect by a margin of 50% then I am surprised.

How can this be helping a buyer make the right decision, when the data is wrong by a margin of more than 50%. This is actually misleading the customer, and putting the seller at a disadvantage compared to other sellers.

Has anyone else experience this as well? Any solutions that you might have? For now I am just getting generic replies from Amazon, where they are in a rush to close the case rather than provide personalised support.

You can't do anything about this "X amount bought in the last month" advert. It's a recurring theme here in the seller board. It cannot be influenced by the seller in any way.
