Why does my FBM estimated delivery dates show up to 6 weeks out?

Looking at my active listings, they are showing "delivery Dec 6 to Jan 15". I am selling seasonal items so people won't buy them if they think they will get them after Christmas. How do I fix this? My shipping settings show 2 to 4 days standard shipping transit times. I ship out next business day via USPS ground advantage or priority mail so they definitely won't be delivered over a month later...

There is no way that I have discovered in over 14 years on here to change those dates.

Amazon uses their magic formula and ineffective BOTS to come up with an algorithm and estimate dates for delivery. They are off so much I have had people cancel orders because it won't arrive in time for their needs.

I send them a message (BEFORE I cancel the order) and explain the insanity and give them the delivery times of my most recent shipments.

As a result I have had people come back in and order the same items again. Sometimes they will spend the extra money for 'expedited' shipping but generally not.

We all need to spray the site down to eliminate their BOTS ....

Good afternoon @Seller_XYjGk9fXEww20,

The estimated delivery date (EDD) is the estimated date when the customer is expected to receive the order. We calculate this date based on how long it takes to ship the item (handling time), and how long it remains in transit. It may be worth reviewing your handling time and transit time (calculated based on the carriers / shipping rates you choose) to ensure accuracy. Let me know if you have any other questions!
