I am the Author/Publisher and ONLY seller of New copies of my book - Why is My Offering not Listed First?!
There are a few other sellers of used copies of my book on my listing. Recently I noticed one of them has become the first buying option that people see when visiting my listing page. Why would Amazon not prioritize the only New option? Especially considering that it's the only option where the actual author/publisher receives any compensation for their work... Instead people are met with a suggestion to buy a used copy, and forced to click on "other buying options" to sift through the other options where they can then find the option to buy a New copy of the book. I've never missed any orders or shipped late.

The Buy Box has a secret recipe that only bots know. It can include things price, shipping time offered, how big a seller you are, etc. Your other metrics of providing on time excellent service can fall by the side to the giant book sellers.
They have indeed made it hard to find all of the options. I have a book that I am the only offer, yet the page looks like no one has a copy, unless you know to click See All Buying Options.

I just wanted to check in with you to see if you still need some assistance with figuring out why some of your listings are not appearing as eligible to be the featured offer?
