Let me share what I found in the help pages that might be helpful.
For CPSC-requested disposals, the help page Product safety alerts and recalls policy explains that Amazon will handle disposal when "the CPSC or another regulator has requested disposal." You'll need to reimburse Amazon for disposal expenses.
To get the specific disposal documentation you need for CPSC reporting, you'll want to create a case with Seller Support. According to the Recalled products information page (under "What should I do as a seller"), include these details in your case:
- Reason for recall
- Affected ASINs/Titles
- Inventory disposition details
- Any customer communications about the recall
- Your contact information
- Specifically mention that you need disposal documentation for CPSC compliance
The policy also mentions that you'll need to engage directly with CPSC to negotiate a Corrective Action Plan and provide Amazon with updates about your CPSC engagement every 14 days. When you create the case, clearly explain that you need disposal certification or documentation to submit to CPSC as part of your recall reporting requirements.
