Virtual tracking/ co mingling

Please help me understand the following...AMAZON now uses the previously required manufacturers UPCs against us as sellers?

Now my UPC inventory is co mingled with products that I dont sell or manufacturer?

******Is it correct that AI will look at product titles, bullets, colors, sizes etc and determine if products are the same even when offered by different manufacturers, different ASINS and Brand registered items?""""

IS THIS CORRECT?

As mentioned in my previous response, your FBA listing for @#$ has a Manufacturer Barcode Virtual tracking, our Policy states: Virtual tracking allows Amazon to fulfill orders using identical products from different suppliers. This enables us to process a customer order more efficiently and expedite its delivery from the fulfillment center closest to the customer.

I continue to be amazed !

Thanks for that heads up Amazon!

Anyone one able to confirm this and how can I tell if an order was co mingled?

@Seller_YdqBO6bifWZxv Hello there! I'd be happy to provide additional context on manufacturer barcodes using virtual tracking.

As an example, a customer in Florida orders a product where there is only one unit available in California and one unit available in New York. In this example, the seller with the unit in California makes the sale, but the unit from the closer New York fulfillment center is shipped for faster delivery. The money is credited to the seller who made the sale, and the unit is credited back to the seller who did not make the sale by virtually transferring ownership of the identical unit.

If you don't wish to participate in virtual tracking, you can navigate to Fulfillment Settings > FBA product barcode preference > Edit > Select "Amazon Barcode"

In selecting Amazon Barcode as your preference, future offers that you create will display the Amazon barcode as the default option, and require you to place an additional label on individual units. These units labeled with an Amazon barcode will not participate in virtual tracking.

I hope this helps clarify virtual tracking, and also gives you the correct steps to not be enrolled in virtual tracking.

Thank you!
