FBA Fees Constantly & Randomly Changing

This is getting ridiculous. We have numerous products in FBA, and the FBA fees change constantly, despite no change in packaging from us.

Let me make it clear, we are on it with our sizing, we keep a careful record of all our product's dimensions and pack them carefully. Yet our FBA fees have a mind of their own, with product dimensions varying wildly and randomly causing us to constantly lose money on fees. And I'm not just talking about the recent increase in fees, the lack of fee consistency is the big issue here.

For Example:

We have one product which has 6 colour variants it is the same EXACT product in the same EXACT packaging yet the fees are as follows:

  1. Black - £5.38
  2. Navy - £3.15
  3. Orange - £2.85
  4. Red - £2.79
  5. Green - £5.38
  6. White - £2.79

Again, to be clear, we try try and get these changed as regularly as possible using the help>fba>wrong dimensions rigmarole. But it's a full-time job to request a change, the change gets denied, and, you try again, and again... meanwhile, other product fees are changing.

How on earth are you supposed to run a business like this? I don't care if Amazon measures inbound inventory with a fancy AI-driven laser, it clearly doesn't work, once again leaving small businesses at a loss, while they just walk away with extra profit from incorrect fees.

There must be a better way to validate product dimensions, otherwise, I'm afraid it's just not viable. Can anyone from Amazon assist, please?

I have few toddlers' boots (300 grams) with 5.68 FBA fee. They do not want to change it:(. I think to move them to MFN.

Your best bet is to send pictures of you measuring the products so that Amazon can clearly see the exact measurements.

Also, send a clear picture of the weight.

Explain which tier the dimensions you propose fall into, and request a reimbursement of any overcharged fees.

Don't forget it's dimensional weight though, so you might want to check that £5.38 isn't in fact the correct fees for these!

Exact same thing happening to me, some of the fees are actually double what the same product in a different colour is.

There must be an app/software etc that can keep on top of this?

They used to remeasure and reimburse now they do nothing only say you cannot remeasure again for 60 days - surely this breaks some European/UK laws?
