Customer refunds after 90 days

I would like to know why amazon is allowing buyers to ask for a refund after 3 months. I have had some buyers demanding a refund for a product that they have used and suddenly think it is no longer working perfectly.

Amazon says that they only grant refund within 30 days, but i had 90 days refund request. This is really not okay.

Is it mandatory or can i refuse the refund request?

It depends what the item is. If product you sold develops a fault the buyer is perfectly entitled to a refund though you should only refund when you have received the goods back and inspected them.

I have a customer who after 93 days has submitted a refund request for a new bike he bought. He’s claims to have used it once and no longer needs it. That seems a perfectly unreasonable request as it can’t be sold as new and it’s more than adequate time to decide if you want it or not. Anyone any thoughts on this as Amazon previously have a refund to someone who kept the bike as well. They seem very easy on giving the customer what they want and not what is reasonable to the seller!
