Wrong item sent to FBA fulfillment center, what to do?

Hi,

We just realized that we sent wrong items to FBA fulfillment center under one of my FBA shipment. The the shipment has already been delivered.

I contacted seller support and was told to cancel the FBA Shipment ID so the wrong items can be returned to us automatically. Is this correct?

FYI I have cancelled the FBA shipment ID per seller support instruction but i am afraid the fulfillment center will still receive those units under my account.

Christine here from Amazon Forums.

Simply canceling the shipment ID after delivery will not automatically trigger a return of the items. Since the shipment has already been delivered to the fulfillment center, you'll need to:

  • Create a Removal Order for the incorrect items immediately
  • Go to Manage Inventory > Select the incorrect items > Create Removal Order
  • Choose "Return to Sender" option
  • Pay any applicable removal fees

Important: Do not create new listings or try to match these items to other products, as this could violate Amazon's catalog policies.

For future reference, shipment cancellation only works for shipments that haven't been delivered yet. Once items are received at the fulfillment center, you must use the removal order process.
