French VAT return via the Amazon Template - how to do refund?
Hi,
So this may be a non starter, but I thought I’d ask here first! We are using Amazons VAT services, using (shock horror!), Avalara. They are a joke when it comes to filing a return where WE are owed a refund. We sent 2 shipments to France and paid the duties (obviously). We now want to claim that back. It turns out that Avalara don’t care, and just say "well if you want to add any imports onto your returns, its $150 PER RETURN!. We are currently owed about €450, and I’m pretty miffed to say the least that they won’t include this!
Is there a way to report this in the .xls spreadsheet Amazon provide, so we can claim it back? I took a look at the instructions in it, but can’t see any mention (only “refunds” relating to sales being refunded, not import refunds)
Thanks in advance!
FWIW, we are getting out of the PAN-EU program, so I’ve had enough of the costs and stress. Moving just to having our German VAT number, storing it there, and then using OSS.
