Used book listing difficulty
I have a broad spectrum of books I would like to list. From the seller home page I click “Add Products”. I enter the book title or ISBN, any title it doesn’t matter, on the “add new product page” , find the book listed that matches mine and select “used” as the condition.
Then page indicates “Approval Required”.
I click “Apply to sell” which takes me to a “Selling Application” Page. I click “Request Approval”..
I land on “Selling application for Sub Category. I am prompted to watch “Intro to Anti-Counterfeit Policy compliance “ (EVERY TIME!!!!) and then I have to answer a series of questions regarding the content of the video and my seller type (in this case I select reseller/distributor) . Lastly I am prompted for my email and optionally my phone number.
I click Submit which takes me to a page that says my selling application is approved. There is a link “Check status of your request “ If I go to that link I can see multiple “Books”(not a book title just the word ‘Books’ ) listed under “Case ID” and the application is “Sub-Category” that are “Approved” but when I click “List products” this process starts all over again in an endless loop. Which probaly explains the multiple “Books” Applications Approved.

From the description it is apparent that you have not spent very much time reading the Forum.
There have been DOZENS of posts about the issues faced by book sellers on Amazon in the past year and more -- gating of publishers brands, whitelisting for BOTH new and used, IP complaints, HIGH PRICE errors, and more.
Amazon is no longer a good (it's barely viable) location for selling books and it is downright toxic for textbooks!
Sell elsewhere. You can scan the posts for all the suggestions, but eBay seems to be getting a lot of sellers from here!

I suspect something might be going on behind the curtain. This was normal a few years ago (yes, having to go through it on just about every publisher), but I've not seen it for at least 2 years. It sounds as if there is a glitch that resulted in old programs being loaded.
If you still see this tomorrow, post a case number here and tag some mods.

Hi there @Seller_EXamnkqMUZhgV,
In some instances products are require approval at a category level, some at a brand level, and some on an individual ASIN level. These products may be requiring approval at the ASIN or Brand/Publisher level which may explain your multiple applications. However if you are getting stuck and can't list the products you are approved for that may not be correct. Do you have a recent Seller Support Case on this issue I can review? Thank you for your understanding.

I agree that there are many issues with listing books. My biggest problem is listing rare books that do not have an ISBN and is not found in the catalog. Typically, if I do manage to get one listed, within a few days, it is crowded with others ... indicating that other sellers couldn't get the listing on the catalog. I love selling on Amazon and haven't had many of the issues others have reported. But I would really like for the listing process to be easier. (By the way, I have watched that anti-counterfeit film so many times, I can quote it by heart. )

If your selling application was approved, then you have one more minor delay. Wait a few hours to a day to insure Amazon's servers have communicated with each other. You should find no problem then listing the books that were approved. Good Luck!
