Reimbursement error
I sent amazon 5 units of a particular product. They lost 2 of them (not the first time this has happened), and they've only reimbursed me a fraction of the cost.
For reference, the product sells for £80. They sent me just over £30 per unit, for an error on their side.
Any advice on what to do?
I've already submitted a revaluation, and their response was - After reviewing the reimbursement request for FNSKU *********, we will not be able to make any additional adjustments.

Amazon will only refund you at cost value rather than retail, even for their mistakes. If you send them your invoice they should match what the item cost you to buy in, but no profit or payment for your time/work. If you don't send them your invoice they'll make an assumption working back from retail, less what their fees would be, less the profit they guess you to be making, less a bit for luck etc etc until they arrive at a low figure.

I think since March 2025 they have amended their policy to pay FBA sellers just the price they value at unless you submit invoice for them to pay you the difference. They expect you to bear the loss "as part of doing a business" whilst they forget that they could also bear the loss "as part of doing a business" and compensate our consequential loss. It is only going to get worse and for that reason, I voted with my feet and left FBA.

The reimbursement is free of vat as it’s effectively an insurance payout. That will help a little if you are vat registered but not if you are not.

I'm having the same problem, I uploaded an invoice, they can see my cost price excluding VAT and they still made up their own figure and low balled me so I have to take a hit on a mistake they made
