Urgent verification problems

So we transferred our account from father to son (self employed) and on transfer, provided passport details, UTR letter and bank account details. Bank account was verified within 24 hours - but we now keep getting issues with the verification with the following message

Please -- Clarify the current status of your registered business,(Uk_sole-proprietor-J Sc*****d) including but not limited to active, dissolved, dormant, or in liquidation. If the business is dissolved, confirm the dissolution date of the business.

Ive provided passport ID, UTR Letter, and no idea what is required , I have emailed 7 times so far and got a general response.

Any ideas, as we have been selling on amazon for years with our general advertising costs of over 1k a month and we are now 3 weeks with no turnover because of this.

Best wishes all

Have you actually stated to them that you are a Sole Trader?

Or are they asking for documentation? If so, what exactly do they ask for?

But as has been said, you can't transfer an Amazon account, sole trader to sole trader. The options are there to go from Sole trader to Ltd. Or if ownership of a Ltd changes, to transfer that to the new owner.

I'm surprised that you have got as far as you have done to be honest.

What you should have done, was to open a new account in your name (at a different address), or to create a Ltd in your fathers name, then transfer the Ltd to yourself.

Hello @Seller_XxhC9e2MdIqIy,

Here Simon from Amazon.

As per Amazon policy:

If the ownership of a business changes for any reason, the new owner needs to establish a new seller account.

If the ownership of a business isn’t changing, but the individuals responsible for managing the seller account have changed, you can add users to the account.

Please check Can I transfer my seller account? for additional information.

Hope this helps.

Best,

Simon
