Listing Removal Due to Pesticide Classification
My listing was removed because it was classified as a pesticide, and the Account Health team informed me that I need an EPA ID to reinstate it. They provided several examples of similar permitted products, none of which had an EPA ID and were identical to mine.
Why are some products allowed while others are not? What is Amazon's logic behind this? When I ask for clarification, I only receive standard responses. Meanwhile, I am unable to sell my product while my competitors face no such issues.

I see that you have received a restricted product policy violation, specifically for pesticides and you have questions about how to address this.
When it comes to restricted products, either the item itself is prohibited or the verbiage and images in the listing can get the ASIN flagged under a particular policy. A product can be classified by the EPA as a pesticide if the product claims, states, or implies, even indirectly, that it can or should be used to prevent, destroy, repel, mitigate, or take any other similar action against any kind of pest. Examples of "pests" include insects, mold, bacteria, mites, mildew, and animals. For US listings, this could appear anywhere in the detail page text, on an image, or both.

I have checked in on the case log you provided and as your product does make pesticide claims, you will be required to either provide the EPA registration/establishment number or obtain proof that your item qualifies for an exemption.
