How Hermes 'delivering' returns

It’s a shame Amazon is using this company for return, there is one of the example and reason why do not use Hermes. On one picture provided by Hermes how the parcel has been delivered and second picture how really it was. The parcel with electronics worth couple hundreds pounds was left behind the bin in the rain…!

It is a shame that we are forced to use this “delivery” company for returns but I can’t opt out for any of my items as I sell nothing high value. You can opt out (and should) for anything high value, I think the lowest value is £100.

To be fair, thats the chance you take if you don’t have a business premises that’s open working hours.

This doesn’t matter to Hermes.

I get all my deliveries sent to my work address. Hermes still try to deliver at 8pm, when no-one is at work. We’re on an industrial estate.

A week ago they chucked a parcel over our 8ft fence at 7pm on a Friday. It contained dried cat food which attracted vermin and was decimated by Monday morning.

Royal Mail wouldn’t do the same. They don’t deliver to our estate after hours or at weekends. We’ve been there 10 years and only Hermes have EVER chucked parcels over the fence.

It was an Amazon Prime order.
