Featured Offer glitch for all listings again. Moderators, please help!

Eight months ago we lost the buy box on almost all of our hundreds of listings in just one night. We sell new books. I researched this problem on the forum and found that the same thing has happened to many other sellers. There is a forum thread (which I cannot find at the moment) dedicated to this problem Some of the effected sellers wrote on the forum that having the featured offer possibility suddenly removed from all their listings has happened to them more than once. Well, it just happened to us again. We’ve had practically no sales the past couple days and today I noticed that our Buy Box/Featured Offer average, which is always between 50% and 70% is now at 4%.

For sellers here who are unfamiliar with this problem---which is a glitch---I am not referring to losing the Buy Box for a product or two, which always happens to sellers. I’m talking about a problem that causes sellers to lose the featured offer status on all of their listings all at once.

Can a moderator please help?? We are getting no sales. Thank you!!

If your percentage went from 50%-70% to 4%, then you didn't lose buy box eligibility. Your percentage was just reduced.

Something had to have happened. Aswe all know, the site is run by bots, not actual people. So, what changed? Did you have a claim, chargeback, bad feedback? Did you cancel an order? Late delivery?

Sometimes, the buy box percentage will go down because your sales percentage goes down. I read a long time ago that if you have less than x number of sales in a 30 or 60 day period, your percentage goes down. I know that's a double edged sword, but I can't disagree with how the numbers play.

Anyway, something happened. There is no glitch. A 'glitch' is an over-used term when no one else knows the real answer. People or an external influence cause glitches, not machines. A programmer changed a line of code could cause a glitch. Data was entered that caused circular logic can cause glitch. A mouse bit through wiring could cause a glitch. A brown-out of the power source can cause a glitch. Glitches do not happen on their own.
