Policy Violation on a public listing, a NON brand owner/approved distributor is trying to kick other offers off

On a listing where multiple sellers list a product, can one seller claim a policy violation against the other sellers to get them off the listing?

Assume they are NOT the brand owner, nor manufacturer, or approved distributor

We have this happening with one of our listings, but again, they have no association with the product - how do you defend yourself?

You'd assume no but wWIthout knowing the ASIN, it really is hard to say.

Or at least the brand.

Is the brand on the listing matching that on the product? Does the EAN on the product match that on the listing?

If the brand is incorrect and the EAN is different then another seller might be using their own brand to get a listing to themselves. They will have registered that brand and have the rights (in the eyes of Amazon) to kick you off the listing.

If the brand is right has the person who manufacturers the product actually registered the brand? If not another seller may have registered the brand and again (in the eyes of Amazon) are able to kick you off the listing.

There is a lot of underhand behaviour around brands on Amazon.

Probably need a bit more info in order to help you here.

As an example, you sell on this listing but the brand is incorrect:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/RENATA-MODEL-SILVER-BATTERY-SR516SW/dp/B00I8UZDZQ/ref=sr_1_26?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.u0dUHnj6aaMapFPRXnSvB55lhBmAfsk509sHxwKBPEywZQ608_a_ysAdsfiscvcVwa0l15P4Gk9RxPZKYvIGKceMV8UwkIg1Yw7YF3SQX1QJL8r-kTlb1CL42Zc3-yRcgVqH41Z5qte1CPoIQ5AxrSMUryjuYDISJZScGtbqZTk5x_rM9s_69dHaLXHszqutiq0DZ63BNb6gfYIcDN7kLFQwlpmcrbnntYeGc1GUKG0.jkbT_zl1J0ssHysu7tjgMHe11BB3pmUlr4MuBj7jR_M&dib_tag=se&m=A23UVVATYXXDKT&qid=1742682044&s=merchant-items&sr=1-26&xpid=0GAV5gjTzbSAL
