Our product has been misidentified as Category I or terminal equipment

One of our products has been misidentified as Category I or terminal equipment in Amazon.ca, and has been deactivated because we could not provide the ISED registration number and HVIN.

Our product is just a wired car diagnostic tool, and does not contain any wireless technologies like Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. We contacted one of the certified laboratories and were told that that this product does not fall under the ISED Category I equipment or terminal. Following their guidance, we have completed the appropriate Category II certification (ICES-003).

We appealed with the description of our product, user manual and an ICES test report to prove our product belongs to Category II and do not need to provide the ISED Certification Number (for Category I equipment) or ISED Registration Number (for terminal equipment) and HVIN.

We appealed many times about this problem but it is very frustrating that we always got the same reply that asks for those Category I things and did not tell us more. The laboratory cannot even allow us to apply for category I certification on this product.

Is there anyone solve such a problem successfully? Any suggestion on the appeal would be greatly appreciated (or maybe an amazon seller support can help).
