Discrepency with FBA stock. Should have received 5 units, but Amazon state they received 0

So I recently started with FBA after a few years of successfully using seller fulfilled shipping.

My third shipment containing 5 units of only a single product went out shortly before my account was deactivated (another story- acknowledged as not being my fault). This was subsequently reactivated a few days later. It was reactivated before the deadline for Amazon to process my incoming shipment.

After Amazon processed my shipment they advised that there was a discrepancy. They advised that they were expected 5 units but received 0 units.

The shipment is not eligible for reconciliation as Amazon have stated that they have counted and checked the shipment.

I did not send an empty box to Amazon and there were definitely 5 units in the shipment. If Amazon are having difficulty matching the units to the ASIN, how do I resolve this? Are they saying that the box was empty?

Seller support have transferred my case, however as with all cases that are transferred, I am not expecting a response.

I am fairly new to FBA so can someone advise what I can do next please?

Thanks

Have you got a stamped BOL from your courier to confirm the weight matched the weight you gave and the weight of 5 units? were they all individually labelled?

This is the normal first response

Most give up at this point which is why they do it

Follow this up with the documentation attached and they will normally sort

But never give up at the first reply/or second/sometimes third

Sometimes Seller support straight out says that they did not receive inventory, when it's misplaced or damaged, in this case use the inventory ledger using the FNKSU and attach the screen shots of the inventory receipts as evidence, highlight the shipment ID, Title and quantity. Sometimes Amazon is moving your stock in other FBA warehouses and your inventory gets lost. I know this is frustrating for all sellers.

Go to Reports - Fulfilment by Amazon - select inventory ledger, to access it now you'll have proof if Amazon actually received the inventory or not for the case.

Link: https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/reportcentral/LEDGER_REPORT/0

If this does not work then I recommend emailing here: managingdirector@amazon.co.uk Include your case ID in the email so they have access to proof of purchase, your chat etc.

I was in a similar situation and my issue was resolved once I emailed the MD. I had provided in the case all the evidence; inventory ledger screens-shots, proof of purchase, and images of the cartons posted to FBA, and invoice etc.

Try it, you might be able to resolve your issue.

If you used Amazon Partnered carriers then ask Amazon, that if they are sure the box was empty, to put in a claim for 'stolen' items from the carrier, usually, UPS.

If Amazon say that you need to conact the carrier then point out that Amazon are the carrier as it was booked through Amazon and paid to Amazon and Amazon sub contracted out to UPS.

Amazon then usually find the missing items!
